# PayMongo

> Accept cards, GCash, Maya, GrabPay and QR Ph in the Philippines.

PayMongo is a hosted checkout for the Philippines. Prices are charged in PHP.

## What you need

| Field | Where to find it |
| - | - |
| Secret Key | PayMongo Dashboard → Developers. Starts with `sk_live_` or `sk_test_` |
| Webhook secret | shown when you create the webhook. Starts with `whsk_` |

## Steps

**1. Copy your Secret Key**

Open the PayMongo Dashboard and copy the Secret Key.

**2. Add the webhook**

Create a webhook for `checkout_session.payment.paid` with this URL:

```
https://dash.joinmarkt.com/api/paymongo/webhook
```

**3. Connect in Join Markt**

Go to **Payment methods → PayMongo**. Paste the Secret Key and the webhook secret.

**4. Turn it on**

Enable **Active at checkout**, then save.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| Payment methods | pick which methods show. Leave all unchecked for cards, GCash, Maya, GrabPay and QR Ph |
| Pass payment fees to customer | adds PayMongo's fee to the buyer's total |
| Send email receipt | PayMongo emails the buyer a receipt |

Other methods (Atome, BillEase, ShopeePay, online banking) work only if they are on in your PayMongo account.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The order is marked paid only when the webhook arrives. Never deliver before that.
