What it does
- Writes and changes code. Ask for a new section, a layout change or a style tweak. It writes files in your theme’s runtime (React, Liquid or Vite).
- Explains. Ask how a file or setting works.
- Fix with AI. When the theme check or the preview reports an error, Fix with AI sends the error and the file to the assistant so it can propose a fix.
Choosing a model
A model picker in the panel lets you choose which AI model answers. Models differ in speed and quality.Good to know
- Changes from the assistant are normal edits: review them in Code, and undo them like any other change.
- Nothing goes live until you publish.
- The assistant cannot change platform files in
src/platform/.
